In autumn 2018, KARIES will release their third album with the title "Alice" after "Seid umschlungen, Million" and "Es sich aus aus". The new, really excellent work was recorded, produced and mixed by Max Rieger and so everything stays in the family, Ralv Milberg was responsible for the master again.
With "Alice" caries emancipate a little from the two previous albums. They seem to have left their melancholy that has broken out of every minute of the last album - why seemingly? Because both the newly discovered playfulness and the finesse of the arrangements as well as the cover, which is absurdly colorful for caries, takes us by the hand and lures us on the wrong track - this is the new side of caries, somehow excited and colorful. It all sounds a little more confident until you listen to the lyrics. It is still dark and clearly ambiguous.
